If everything looks good, we will schedule a more in-depth planning call. After that, we start working with our trusted destination experts and industry partners to create a customized proposal for your trip. We also provide a quote for travel insurance for your consideration.

We begin with a 20 minute complimentary call to discover more about you, your travel style and goals. We get to know each other and discuss the planning process. Within two business days, we will provide an email summary of our meeting and a quote for planning your trip.

Do you charge a fee?
Sound Of The Sea Travel prides itself on providing personalized service to our clients. In order to do that, we charge a professional fee called our Research and Design Fee. This covers the time we invest in consultation and research to create an unforgettable trip tailored to your style and needs. Our fee starts at $50 and varies depending on the number of travelers, length and complexity of the trip, and the scope of the planning needed to meet your expectations. A quote will be provided after the complimentary Discover Call. This fee is nonrefundable and is not applied to your booking or the cost of your travel.
With such low professional fees, how do Travel Agents make any money?
Because we earn part of our compensation through commissions from some travel suppliers, such as hotels and cruise lines, we are able to provide our professional services for a minimal Research and Design Fee. Rest assured that our priority is to find the most suitable options for your travel needs and preferences, regardless of which supplier offers a commission. We always strive to provide unbiased recommendations to ensure you have a fulfilling and memorable journey.

Do I need travel insurance?
Travel insurance is available and recommended to protect your travel investment. Many trips, such as tours and cruises, involve non-refundable funds paid months in advance. Travel insurance protects you from losing this investment. Perhaps even more important is the ‘during travel’ coverage and assistance that comes with many insurance options. Life is unexpected. Trip interruption due to illness or unforeseen circumstances can be expensive, and medical care abroad is often not covered by domestic insurance plans. God forbid someone back home gets sick and you need to get home immediately. Travel insurance helps protect you from losses you might incur and gives you choices to face any unfortunate situations during your trip.
What happens if something goes wrong when I’m away? Does having a travel advisor mean I can’t get things fixed right away?
Quite the contrary! When things go wrong, booking with a travel professional means having an advocate in your corner to help get things sorted out as quickly as possible.
We are often aware of potential “hiccups” in a travel itinerary before you are. It’s not uncommon for Sound Of The Sea Travel to have already worked out a solution before you know that a problem exists. Since we work with large numbers of travelers, our travel partners often give us access to priority service and make sure our clients are taken care of quickly.
